About Dan

Dan is a dedicated and experienced guitar tutor who has been teaching since 2012, with over 20 years of playing experience. Having started guitar at the age of 8, he brings both depth of knowledge and a genuine passion for music into every lesson.

Specialising in rock and pop guitar, Dan delivers energetic and engaging lessons tailored to each student’s goals and interests. Whether students are working towards Rockschool grades or simply want to learn their favourite songs, he focuses on building confidence, technique, and enjoyment in equal measure.
Dan teaches from his dedicated studio, as well as offering lessons across Uttoxeter, Cheadle, Blythe Bridge and the surrounding areas. His flexible approach ensures students can learn in a way that suits them best.

Alongside his teaching, Dan is an active performer who regularly plays live and has written and released original music with a number of local rock bands across Staffordshire and Derbyshire. This real-world experience feeds directly into his teaching, helping students develop practical skills and a strong musical identity.

Dan is passionate about supporting students as they discover their natural abilities and progress towards their personal goals—whatever stage they’re at in their musical journey.
