About Esmé
Esmé is a highly experienced and passionate teacher with over 15 years of experience delivering music and drama education in both school and private settings. She has supported students of all ages, guiding them through GCSE and A Level study, as well as preparing learners for ABRSM and Rockschool exams up to Grade 8.
An accomplished vocalist, Esmé teaches a wide range of instruments including piano, violin, ukulele, and guitar, working with both individuals and groups. Her lessons are carefully tailored to suit each student’s learning style, helping them to progress with confidence while developing a genuine enjoyment of music.
Alongside her teaching, Esmé is an active performer, regularly appearing with her band and an a cappella choir, and collaborating with local schools and community groups on shows and concerts. This real-world experience feeds directly into her teaching, allowing her to incorporate practical performance techniques, helping students build confidence, stage presence, and musicality.
Esmé also brings specialist expertise in drama as an examiner and moderator, delivering engaging sessions in Drama and Musical Theatre that nurture both performance skills and self-confidence. She teaches LAMDA courses in Acting, Musical Theatre, and Public Speaking, with opportunities for students to take part in local festivals to further develop their experience and confidence.
At higher levels, both music and LAMDA qualifications can contribute UCAS points, supporting students as they progress into further and higher education.
Esmé is deeply committed to the performing arts and believes they play a vital role in developing confidence, creativity, and well-rounded individuals—values that are at the heart of every lesson she delivers.
